Procedure text is text what explain about make / do something base on steps or activity.

Procedure text can explain about making something,instructions,etc.

The structure of procedure text :

1. Goal (tittle)

2. Material/ingredient(things needed)

3. Steps (the actions verb that must be taken)

The Characteristics of procedure text :

1. Use simple present tense

2. Use Imperative sentences

3. Use actions verb such as, cook,stir,mix,etc.

4. Use temporal conjunction such as, first, second, third,etc.

Example of procedure text :

Materials :

2 cups of rolled oats.

1 ½ cups of caster sugar.

4 tablespoons of golden syrup.

2 tablespoons of boiling water.

1 cup of plain flour.

250 grams of butter.

1 tablespoo of baking soda.

Steps :

First, turn oven 160˚C.

Second, lightly grease oven tray.

Third, mix oats, flour, and sugar in a large bowl.

Then, Melt butter and golden syrup in a pa.n

After that, mix baking soda and boiling water in a cup.

Next, Add this mixture to melted butter and golden syrup.

Then, Add this to the oats mixture in the large bowl, mix together well.

After that, Roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls, put on tray 5 cm a part.

Then, press lightly on top of each with a fork.

Finally, bake for 20 (twenty) minute
