Narrative text part 2

Narrative text is text what yells about imagination story. Its purpose to amuse,entertain and deal with actual or vicarious experience in different ways.

The structures of narrative text :

1. Orientation

The orientation tells about sets the scene and introduces the participants.

2. Complication

The complication tells about crisis arises.

3. Resolution

The resolution the crisis is resolved.For better or worse.

The Characteristics of recount text :

1. Use simple past tense.

2. Use adverb of time such as once upon a time, long-long ago, etc.

3. Use temporal conjunction such as then, after, before,etc.

4. There is social message.

Example of Narrative text :

The Fly and The Bull

There was a little fly who thought he was important. He felt proud of himself. One sunny morning, he flew around looking for someone to talk to. He saw a bull grazing in a field. He decided to fly down to talk to him.

The little fly down and buzzed around the bull’s head. The bull didn’t bother him.

The fly then buzzed right inside the bull’s ear. The bull continued chewing grass. The fly thought” what a stupid animal”.

Now the fly decided to land on one of bull’s horns to make the bull notice him. He wanted for the bull to say something,but the bull keep quite.

The fly then shouted angrily,” oh Bull, if you find that I am too heavy for you, let me know and I’ll fly away!”.

The bull laughed and said,”little fly”. I don’t cave if you stay or leave. You are so tiny that youe weight does not make any different to me, so please be quite and leave me alone”.
